Our Board Members are Key Industry Experts
The Board prioritizes Small Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) development across electrotechnical sectors, with 40% of members being CEOs of SMME organizations: Rethuseng Live Line Services (Pty) Ltd, Greenthermo Energy, Samo Engineering (Pty) Ltd, and TEMAMII. Gender diversity is significant, with 30% of the Board comprising women: Ms. Nthabiseng Dube, Mrs. Nonhlanhla Samkele Moloko, and Mrs. Matsotso Johanna Vuso. Ms. Dube serves as Deputy Chair, while Mrs. Matsotso Vuso chairs the Audit and Finance Committee.

Matsotso Johanna Vuso
Mrs Matsotso Vuso is the founder and managing director of Nyamezela Group Companies.
She qualified as a chartered accountant in 1999 and has extensive experience in assurance, project finance and financial restructuring. Her experience was gained from her association with companies including the Industrial Development Corporation, Transnet Group Audit Services, KPMG and Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC).
She also serves as a director of Kagosano NPC, Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Africa (Pty) Ltd and as an independent non-executive director at Merafe Resources Ltd.
Mrs Vuso belongs to several professional networks including the Woman President Organisation, the African Woman Chartered Accountants, and the Institute of Directors and Women Corporate Directors. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Accounting Sciences Honours degree from the University of South Africa.
Mfana Nicholas Msibi
Nicholas Msibi is the Acting Managing Director at Trans-Africa Projects.
He is an experienced leader with a demonstrated history of working in the oil & energy industry and within Trans-Africa Projects. He previously held the role of Executive Manager of Engineering and Projects.
Skilled in organisational turn around, Operations Management, Engineering Management, Energy, Process Engineering, Power Systems, and Power Plants. Since September 2017, Nicholas has acted as an Industry Advisory Board member for the University of Johannesburg. His role is to advise the university on industry issues such as innovation, research and opportunities for the university to align with industry.
Mr Msibi is a strong operations professional with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) focused in Business Administration and Management, General from Gordon Institute of Business Science. He also has Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Pretoria and a Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand.
Steve Alset
Steve Alset is the owner of Rethuseng Live Line Servies (Pty) Ltd
Mr Steve Alset is a former Eskom employee with service of 10 years. He left Eskom in March, 2003, to venture into construction business. In 2004, having noted a lack of locally grown live line contractors in the country, Steve started Rethuseng Live Line Services.
He was armed with a National Technical N5 qualification in Electrical Engineering, field experience and a variety of leadership courses. He was then subjected to intensive ground training with Eskom Middleburg, after which he was evaluated extensively, declared competent, and authorized to perform Live Line services.
Mr Alset has a declared passion for offering high school leavers opportunities to learn and benefit from his own path. He offers them a path to qualification and certification for providing Live Line services through Eskom.
Nthabiseng Dube
Nthabiseng Dube’s vast experience is built on her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of North West and a Management Advanced Program (MAP) and IEDP both from Wits Business School.
In her studies, Nthabiseng majored in psychology and this has enabled her to enjoy working with people and successfully implementing tasks in a matrix as well as individual approaches.
She has experience in media, both electronic and print. She has been involved in the marketing arena since 1993 when she spent almost a decade working for SABC.
Nthabiseng’s extensive corporate knowledge has been centred on strategy development, account management as well as customer relations. Until March 2020 Nthabiseng was the executive director at ABB South Africa and also served on the SSACI (Swiss South African Corporate Initiatives) boards. She was also one of the initial trustees of the ABB Education Trust.
She is currently the deputy chairperson of the SAEEC Board and an independent non-executive director of Schindler South Africa.
She is the co-founder and CEO of The African Energy Colloquium, an organisation that seeks to create an African thought leadership platform on energy matters and influence policy making in the African energy sector to advance the Continent.
Shirley Chauke
Shirley Chauke is a seasoned entrepreneur, with a particular focus of her working career being based in the energy sector. Shirley developed her passion for the power sector during her many years spent at Eskom in various positions. She left as Customer Executive, joining City Power as Key Customer Executive.
She is experienced in working for multinationals within the oil and gas sector working for Technip Italy an EPC amongst the 4 largest in the world, as head of procurement.
Shirley thereafter ventured into becoming and entrepreneur creating three new start-ups in Logistics, Facilities Management, and Electrical Professional Consulting services. She also went into partnerships with multinational OEM`s and co-established in South Africa, EHR (Germany HP Piping) who became the now Bilfinger, Hamon SA (Belgian USA Air Quality Systems and Cooling) and collaborates with various multinationals to provide products and services within the power and oil and gas sectors locally.
Shirley Chauke is a founding member of a 50MW PV solar plant in Zimbabwe currently under construction and serving as chairperson of the board.
Viventheran Perumal
Mr Viven Perumal is a member of the Senior leadership team and a marketing manager for Conlog.
Mr Perumal is responsible for the Business Strategy formulation and implementation, product marketing and the marketing communications of the Conlog product offer.
A key element of his responsibilities is the portfolio management of Conlog’s hardware and software product offerings and the management of the product road map, life cycle and offer creation process.
His role also involves the design and implementation of then internal and external communications strategy, propagating the Conlog offering globally in the market.
His vast experience at Conlog is reinforced by his Master’s of Business Leadership degree from the University of South Africa, where he majored in corporate and business strategy. Viven also holds: Two Bachelors of Technology, one in Business management and one in Advanced Business Programme. A National Diploma in Electronic Engineering. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), and Project Management qualifications from Tshwane University of Technology and OSP International CA, USA.
Malesela Kekana
Malesela Kekana is an Executive at CZ Electronics responsible for the Electronics Industry Policy and Regulatory affairs. He represents the company in various industry bodies and various government initiatives to advance the development of the electronics sector in general. Malesela Kekana is a seasoned professional, having worked and provided services for both Public and various Private institutions in different roles ranging from Engineering, Business Development, Project Management and Strategy.
Malesela has represented Southern African Development Community (SADC) and South Africa at various multilateral institutions and bilateral engagements on electronics policy, regulatory matters, and electronics industry trade development in general. He further leads CZ Electronics on business engagements relating to free trade agreements in SADC and African Continent-wide markets.
He previously held positions at South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) as a senior Engineer, Confederation of African Football (CAF) Local Organising Committee as Chief Technology Officer, Department of Communication and Digital Technologies (DCDT) as Technology Director for the International Affairs Branch and Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) as the Head of Technology Project Management Office (PMO) amongst others. He is a qualified Electronics Engineer and holds Post Graduate qualifications in business management and project evaluations.
He serves as a Deputy Chairperson on the board of the Electronics Developers and Manufacturing Association of South Africa (EDMASA), which advocates for the development and sustainability of the electronics manufacturing industry in South Africa as a contributor for economic growth.
Mark Taylor
Mr Mark Taylor is the Managing Director of Temamii (Pty) Ltd. He is an International Trade and Industry expert operating a people first business services and advisory company; leveraging the benefits that the new digital revolutions bring to the way business has always been done.
As a key industry stakeholder Mr Taylor holds several key positions, including:
